I have heard that this one is really well done, its almost word for word from the gospel of John (good news paraphrase version). But I heard the scenary and music is well done in it. _________________ Greg Gordon

Our family hasn't watched television/movies/videos since 1988, but since you mentioned it, the movie, JESUS, is completely from the book of Luke. _________________ Ruth

Although we realize there are *some* good things to view, we also realize that young children do best with black and white. So, to say videos are bad, then say...oh, but THIS one is okay, can be confusing. Besides, if one has a television, by the time the child gets the negative influence, it's too late.
No. We do not watch video on the internet. _________________ Ruth

I personally dont like tv that much I totally agree with you that it is a negative influnce on kids and adults. Especially children they are more inpressionable when they are young. If I did have a tv that would be huge restrictions on how much and what could be watched. It is not healthy if it becomes a primary thing that they do in the day.[/quote] _________________ Greg Gordon

Luther was very good. I did not get to see the Gosple of John but will pick it up on DVD when it comes out. Mel Gibson's "The Passion of The Christ" is not out yet. You can get info on it at http://www.passion-movie.com. For very good information on movies from a Christian poit of view, visit http://www.movieguide.org. _________________ --Bill Yates |

I saw Joshua, I didn't enjoy it as much as others did... it didnt really talk about sin and the need for a Savior.
I contacted the Luther people and asked them when a DVD would be released. They said it the movie will not be released in DVD or VHS formats until after it has concluded its run in theatres. This will probably be in mid-to-late 2004. When it is released it is expected to be available at all the usual home video rental and retail sales stores.
"In response to strong audience demand, "Luther" is being re-issued in select theatres around the U.S. If you are interested in getting "Luther" to play in your vicinity in early 2004, please contact Rhonda English at: 800-847-4836 ext. 85552." - email from them. _________________ Peter J. Louie

| If you rent/buy the Gospel of John movie, be sure to get the DVD not VHS if you can. It has some interactive features built into the movie. Like in certain scenes you can press a button on your remove for more information or historical background or something. I missed them, but plan to rent again in the future and check them out. |

Ok, have you seen Fireproof the movie?

I saw it with my bride last week. It was very good. It made us laugh, had surprising twists, and also had an authentic portrayal of life and the power of the gospel.

Hi Guys,
If you want some good Christian movies, I'd recommend Rich Christiano's films. Rich is a great director from personal contact we've had with his ministry. His films have a phenomenal message for Christ.

"Time Changer" is EXCELLENT.
"Unidentified" is also very good.
"Facing the Giants" and "Flywheel" - both produced by Sherwood Baptist Church - are also pretty good.
Have a great week!
